Activities

Throughout the year we host various music concerts which are always popular with residents. Other activities include hand crafts, flower arranging and painting lessons.

For those able we also take residents into Kirkcudbright to an art class run by professional artists. We host many other activities, keeping our residents happy and well.

A new addition to the garden is our large polytunnel. Residents are encouraged to participate in the planting and care of the vegetables, fruit and salad.

Some residents like nothing more than a leisurely stroll around our beautiful gardens, where they are accompanied by a member of staff. (A favourite spot is a bench down by the bottom of garden offering a well deserved rest & spectacular views out over Brighouse bay).

Painting lessons, activites at Senwick House

Trips out to local gardens and places of interest or events such as theatre or coffee mornings are always popular.

Staff spend as much quality time with residents as possible and will ask for new ideas to enhance the activity programme.

Birthdays and festive days are celebrated throughout the year. Parties to include families and friends can be arranged to mark special occasions and our cooks are always happy to provide catering. The home's sun room and adjoining terrace overlooking the gardens and bay, provide a lovely space for entertaining.
