;Close to Senwick House lies the historic town of Kirkcudbright, famous for its artist's community. Our small fishing town has many shops, cafes, galleries and local services. Throughout the year, Kirkcudbright offers many events and activities ranging from the monthly farmers market; a stunning new Art Gallery showcasing artists both locally and nationally; music and drama events; a classic car rally; food festivals; the very popular Arts and Crafts trail; Spring Fling and the summer Jazz festival, to name but a few.
Overlooking the water of Brighouse Bay, the garden at Senwick House provides homes for a variety of wildlife. Deer can be seen regularly grazing in the orchard during Autumn, or wandering over the lawns at anytime, especially during the early morning. Rabbits, Fox, Pheasant, Red Kites, Owls and the occasional Red Squirrel all appear throughout the year. Bird feeders are in demand and have to be topped up often! Woodpecker and Red Squirrel also visit the feeders.
Senwick House’s setting is unique, like no other
